The phone will be available for purchase in China from September 20, 2024. It will come in two colors: Black and Red. Huawei is also offering a bundle that includes Freebuds 5 earbuds, a USB Type-C cable, and a charging adapter.
Design
The Huawei Mate XT features a large 10.2-inch 3K OLED display when fully unfolded. This tri-fold design allows the phone to transform from a compact device into a large, tablet-like screen. Despite its innovative design, the phone weighs just 298 grams.
One of the highlights of the Mate XT is its advanced screen technology. The screen is made from multi-directional bending flexible materials. Huawei claims that the bending resistance of the screen is increased by 25 percent compared to traditional foldables. The Tecno Phantom Ultimate 2 features a 6.48-inch folded display that unfolds into a large 10-inch 4:3 screen. It includes TDDI (Touch and Display Driver Integration) technology, which is used for the first time in foldable phones. When folded, the Tecno Ultimate 2 is just 11mm thick, compared to the 12.8mm thickness of the Huawei Mate XT.
Tecno’s device also boasts a hinge with 2100MPa strength and can withstand over 300,000 folds. However, the Tecno Phantom Ultimate 2 is currently not available for retail purchase, unlike the Huawei Mate XT, which will be available in China starting September 20, 2024.
